M.A. Katharina Schneider

Katharina Schneider is a research assistant at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences with a background in design and computer science. She focuses on shaping interactions between humans and machines, including AI-based systems.

While studying, she became especially interested in exploring abstract concepts and turning them into interactive and tangible experiences, leading to a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction during her master’s degree in Interactive Media Systems. She also spent time abroad at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, and EASD Valencia in Valencia, Spain.

Now part of the DatenWerKI OS research project, she applies her knowledge to enabling and motivating small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) to improve their energy efficiency in sustainable and conscious ways.
