M.Sc. Madlen Kneile
Madlen Kneile is a research assistant and Ph.D. student with a background in industrial design (B.A.) and human-computer interaction (M.Sc.) at the University of Siegen.
Her research combines the fields of sustainability and relational approaches to designing technology, such as post-anthropocentric and more-than-human design approaches, in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). Specifically, she is interested in how technology can be designed to support and strengthen relationships between humans and nature, with a particular focus on the concept of nature-relatedness. In particular, she investigates how technology can be designed and the role it can play in supporting nature-relatedness in everyday life.
Motivated by the power of design to ask questions and envision positive futures, she explores these questions through a design-oriented perspective and way of working to contribute to the urgent challenges of our time.
